“The operative expenses of Sweden's pension providers are increasing. According to a new survey there was an increase in cost in the 14 largest pension providers of a record 14,6 percent."

This was the introduction of an article issued by TT on November 19 2009, following the release of Itello's annual report. This report presented the outcome of a study on the surge in administrative cost of pension providers. This is the second consecutive year that Itello examines the sums spent on IT administration in the pensions and savings and insurance markets.

The survey had a large media impact and Dagens Industri dedicated most of their first page to relaying this news, headlining it "The cost shock of the pension giants". SVT and TV4 both mentioned Itello's research findings.
